Spring Shou Mei – Full-Flavored Fuding White Tea

Sourced from the renowned tea gardens of Fuding City in Fujian Province, our Spring Shou Mei white tea captures the essence of southern China's refined tea-making tradition. Crafted from mature spring leaves and delicate silver buds, it brews a vibrant orange liquor with a bright, fruity aroma and a satisfying depth reminiscent of light black tea.

Unlike typical Shou Mei, which is often dark and broken from over-drying, this premium grade retains its light green, whole leaves and silvery tips — a mark of exceptional craftsmanship. The result is a white tea that balances the fresh, floral fragrance of young leaves with the full-bodied flavor of a richer tea.

Tasting Notes

  • Dry leaf: light green whole leaves with silvery tips
  • Liquor: vibrant orange
  • Aroma: bright, fruity and floral
  • Flavor: full-bodied, like a light black tea
  • Finish: refreshing and smooth

Shou Mei White tea is a very delicate delight. Quite often my nostrils met a sweet aroma as I seductively pressured tea cup against my steady lips. Gasp I say! The sweet almost liqueur solution will glide very easily down into my gullet. I am now a repeat buyer of such merit.
